Incentive Policy:

Upon confirmation from the researcher that the study has been successfully concluded, you will receive the full stipulated payment. This process may extend for 7 to 10 business days from your session's completion.

Cancellation Policy:

To prevent penalties, we kindly request a minimum of 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. For guidance on cancelling your scheduled session, refer to our comprehensive guide provided here.

Late Arrival Policy:

Punctuality is essential for all participants. The conducting researcher holds the authority to withhold payment or cancel your session if you arrive late. Repeated instances of late arrivals may lead to disqualification from future participation opportunities.

No-Show Policy:

Nonattendance for scheduled sessions is taken seriously as it inconveniences the researcher. Failure to appear for a session without providing adequate notice (as mentioned above) could result in disqualification from future participation opportunities.

Completion Policy:

Researchers maintain the right to withhold payment or offer partial compensation if your participation is not fully completed as required. We encourage you to diligently follow the researcher's instructions and fulfil all the specified components. If you encounter queries or require assistance with session access or completion, the messages button in your account or confirmation email can be used to contact your designated researcher.

Upon the launch of a new study, we send out email invitations. If you receive an email prompting you to apply for an upcoming study, chances are that you're a suitable candidate. Evaluate the essential study details provided in the email to gauge your interest. To participate, simply click "Apply" and complete the preliminary survey.

The studies page is updated daily and features all studies that match your location and demographic details (when logged in). The most successful participants make it a habit to check this page frequently! If any studies catch your eye, don't hesitate to apply.

For participants based in the United States, it's important to be aware that the IRS mandates the reporting of study payments amounting to $600 or more on your tax returns.

If the total sum of payments you receive from CommuneX across various studies reaches or surpasses $600 within a calendar year, you will receive a 1099 form at the start of the following year. This form will be sent to you and submitted to the IRS. Please note that any incentives provided by researchers are not included in this cumulative total.

A special note for participants residing outside the United States: If you are located in a country other than the United States or if you receive incentives in currencies other than USD, you will not receive a 1099 form from us. It's advised to familiarize yourself with the tax regulations in your local jurisdiction.

Incentive disbursements are facilitated via reliable platforms such as PayPal, Amazon, and UPI, ensuring a seamless transaction process. We strive to expedite this process, with payments typically reaching recipients within a time frame of 30 to 45 days.

In many instances, difficulties with logging in arise from forgotten passwords (a common occurrence for all of us!). Below, we've outlined the steps to guide you through the process of resetting your password.
